Chapter 22: "Secrets of Mount Huai: The Great Lord's Winds and Clouds". [24]

Summary

Yi and his companions arrived at the Huai Shan tribe after three days of travel, greeted by a vibrant landscape and the Great King of Huai Shan. After a warm welcome, they discussed the purpose of Yi's inspection regarding water management, which the Great King assured was well-managed and disaster-free. Following this, Yi and his group were escorted to their accommodations. Qi later met with the Great King, who shared a plan to ensnare Great King Hong Shan through enticing courtesans to secure evidence against him, which Qi supported to eliminate Hong Shan's influence. After lunch, the Great King Hong Shan inspected the southern mountain hall, captivated by its beauty and the promise of entertainment from courtesans. He eagerly participated in a lavish banquet, becoming intoxicated and enamored with one courtesan, who was promised to stay with him for the following days.
