Summary

Li Yan Qing returns to the dormitory early in the morning and learns from a magpie that Zhao Kai, known as His Highness Jia Wang, wishes to see him at noon. He arrives at the Zhu Skull Teahouse, where Zhao Kai greets him warmly. They discuss the previous night's lively birthday banquet, where Li Yan Qing was notably toasted by Liang Shi Cheng, a complex figure. Zhao Kai expresses concern about his royal brother's behavior and reflects on the implications of competition for their father's favor. Li Yan Qing advises Zhao Kai on the political landscape following the death of Prime Minister Cai Bian and encourages him to consider potential candidates for the position. Zhao Kai gifts Li Yan Qing the deed to a rouge shop, which Li Yan Qing gratefully accepts. After their meeting, Li Yan Qing visits the rouge shop, only to find it sealed and guarded.
