Summary

After leaving the General's residence, the narrator brings Wu Lao Er to their vacant home. Director He Wei Chang, wanting to curry favor, sends a maid to help tidy up and takes them out to eat. At Baofa Garden, He insists on ordering specialties, while Wu Lao Er humorously comments on local eateries. They enjoy exquisite dishes and fine wine. He Wei Chang shares news about tomb robber Luo Hai Shan and his rumored wealth. After a night of drinking, they stumble out, but Wu Lao Er disappears, later found retching at the restaurant's entrance. Eventually, the manager arranges rickshaws to take them home.
