Chapter 192: The Marvelous Adventures of the Fox Demon and Her Elder Brother [191]

Summary

Kuang Gu joyfully reunites with her brother, Nagayama Yuuzuru, but refuses to share her plans, citing loyalty to Lady Sister. As they travel over Kyoto, Yuuzuru reflects on the various Transcendent powers in the area, particularly Kifune Shrine, which has shifted focus to tourism after losing its divine protector. Upon arriving at Kifune Shrine, they meet Daoist Rong and Bei Yuan Yang Cai, and Yuuzuru hints at having defeated a great demon, sparking concern among the others. As they explore the shrine, they note its dilapidated state due to the absence of divine power, leading Yuuzuru to consider the potential of claiming the shrine's faith. They sense a strong presence nearby and discover a high concentration of powerful beings around Mt. Kurama. Meanwhile, Qing Ji, a legendary azure serpent, senses the aura of the Dragon God and is filled with hope. In a dojo, the Grand Soul Master feels a premonition and leaves, unaware of Yuuzuru's interest in him. Inside Kifune Shrine, they meet Wu Tiao Zhen, a madman working on a jade pillar linked to the Dragon God. Lang explains the pillar's significance for suppressing anomalies, and Yuuzuru proposes a collaboration involving true dragon blood as payment for Bei Yuan Yang Cai's training.
