Chapter 19: The Past and Present of the Hute Tribe. [115]
Summary
A Ji, a 34-year-old honest man, relies on an old diesel generator for power in his cave dwelling. He travels to the city every few months for diesel, as local gas stations refuse to fill barrels. His uncle, known as Uncle Hu, helps him seek the legendary Black Water City. The Hute tribe's clan chief shares stories of past treasure hunters, including Little Ke, who sought treasures in the desert. After failing to find anything in royal tombs, he learned of Black Water City from locals. Da Xi Wang, the chief's grandfather, initially refused to help but later guided Little Ke after receiving a phonograph. Little Ke unearthed valuable relics, shocking scholars upon their arrival at the Royal Geographical Society.Full content
