Summary

In the Cai residence, Cai Jing is anxious about the emperor's secret edict to escort Zhu Chong to the capital, fearing for his own safety as Zhu could expose his corrupt dealings. He resolves that Zhu must not arrive alive and seeks help from Luan Ting Yu, a skilled assassin, to ensure Zhu's demise. Meanwhile, Zhu Chong, shackled and guarded, speaks with Li Yan Qing, who offers him a chance for cooperation to ensure his safe passage. Zhu reveals that Deng Chong, a trusted guard of the Crown Prince, is secretly involved in the situation, seeking leverage over Cai Jing and others. Zhao Kai learns of the deception and decides to meet Zhu Chong to negotiate a deal regarding the hidden documents that could secure their safety. As the fleet travels towards Suzhou, Deng Chong, disguised and frustrated by his failed attempts to retrieve the documents, waits for Zhao Kai's next move, relying on his subordinates for information.
