Chapter 18: The Fifth Rank of the Qian Kun List [136]
Summary
Li Hao interacts with a little white fox, expressing concern for its safety and future as it cannot enter the martial temple. He reflects on the demon inheritance system, explaining how demons can gain power through ancestral ties or by serving powerful clans. Li Hao plans to help the fox by seeking a demon king for it to inherit. As he prepares to leave, he entrusts the fox to Song Qiu Mo and sets off with Ren Qian Qian towards Dayue City, where a grand master meeting is taking place. Li Wu Shuang, a young lady from a prestigious family, arrives in the city with aspirations of entering the Qianlong List, a ranking of young martial artists. Meanwhile, a young man in a purple-gold robe plots to seize Dayue City, discussing strategies with his elder companion. Li Hao and Ren Qian Qian enter the bustling city, where they hear discussions about Li Hao's recent rise in the Qianlong List. Li Hao remains indifferent to fame, focusing instead on helping Ren Qian Qian enter the Martial Temple for Soul Continuation. They visit the temple, where Ren Qian Qian is accepted after verification. Li Hao observes two temple priests playing chess but finds them lacking in skill.Full content
