Chapter 17: West River Moon Teahouse (Part 1). [16]
Summary
In a teahouse, a storyteller captivates the audience with tales of the Northern Zhou dynasty, while patrons in VIP rooms indulge in luxury. Jia Huan, however, finds the storytelling dull compared to modern web novels. As he reflects on his punishment for copying books, he realizes it has inadvertently helped him gain recognition in the Jia household. He plans to sell a revised version of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" to the esteemed storyteller, Mister Luo. After a hesitant start, Mister Luo becomes engrossed in the tale, praising its concise and engaging narrative. Jia Huan's confidence in his work grows as he discusses the potential sale, estimating it could fetch 10 to 20 taels of silver.Full content
