Summary

The Yang family, a prestigious clan, has a hidden lair in Yangjia Village at the foot of Snake Head Mountain, where their ancestral home is located. Recently, chaos erupts as houses catch fire, prompting clan members, mostly the vulnerable, to flee to the ancestral hall for safety. The granary, vital for the village's food supply, comes under attack from starving villagers. Young clan members and retainers defend it fiercely, but fear looms as bandits attempt to breach the walls. Zhang Xuan, a young warrior, turns the tide of battle by slaying multiple enemies and inspiring his fellow defenders. He organizes the chaotic defense, forming spear teams and positioning archers strategically. As the battle rages, Zhang Xuan reveals that Yang Qing Ming is an undercover agent for Yu Wen Shu, who orchestrated the attack as revenge for a previous slight against him.
