Summary
Zhang Ye received a phone call from an unfamiliar number. The caller, Fang Wei Hong, was the manager of Zhang Yuan Qi and wanted to meet with Zhang Ye to discuss a potential collaboration. Zhang Ye agreed and was picked up by a driver, who brought him to a high-end office building. Fang Wei Hong introduced Zhang Ye to Zhang Yuan Qi, who explained that they wanted to buy the rights to Zhang Ye's poem "Water Melody - Bright Moon" and turn it into a popular song. However, Zhang Ye refused, stating that he would not authorize the use of this poem, but would be willing to give them authorization for free for other poems. Fang Wei Hong and Zhang Yuan Qi tried to persuade Zhang Ye, even offering to let him listen to a demo of the song, but Zhang Ye remained firm in his refusal. He felt that the changes they had made to the poem had lost its ancient rhyme and flavor. The musicians and staff members present were confused by Zhang Ye's attitude, but Zhang Ye remained resolute in his decision.Full content
