The Grand Wei Court.
Chapter 161: Marching Towards the Sun. [160]
Summary
Zhao Hong Run ordered his troops to advance towards Zhengyang County while leaving some behind to guard the strategically vital Runan County. He aimed to maintain control over both cities for a safe retreat. With heavy snow hindering cavalry effectiveness, he preserved their strength and sent the Pingyang Army to attack Zhengyang. The Pingyang Army, divided into three groups, was tasked with capturing various locations, while Zhao Hong Run followed closely behind. Despite harsh conditions, morale remained high among the Wei soldiers, driven by promises of spoils. Upon reaching the Peng Clan city, they found it already captured by Qu Tang's forces, indicating his ambition for quick victories.Full content
