About Me Being Adopted by Talula (Complete).

Chapter 158: The Strategy of Prison Escape and Serendipitous Encounters. [157]

Summary

In Chapter 03, titled "Sister Ghost, save me!", Orson finds himself unexpectedly thrown into an interrogation room rather than meeting Officer Chen, as he had planned. He is accused of "illegally possessing large cold weapons" and struggles to explain his identity and the long-abandoned address on his ID card, which leads to additional charges against him. Encountering a kleptomaniac named Rope in the detention center, Orson learns about the casual environment within the precinct, where most troubles are overlooked unless serious. He is eventually rescued by Hoshiguma, a tall woman with green hair, who informs him that he can leave since there are no records of his offense; he was considered a smuggler and is told to avoid causing more trouble. Orson attempts to connect with Chen through Hoshiguma but learns she is out on duty, leaving him to contend with the loss of his belongings, including a false ID and his weapon, while pondering the mysterious fate of Black Snake's former residence in Longmen. After being released, Orson realizes he has little money left after being pickpocketed by Rope and contemplates where to spend the night without an ID or cash. He reflects on Talula's objectives, including her desire to unite the infected factions of Longmen, and acknowledges that his visit may not just be a brief one. Wandering the vibrant but chaotic streets, Orson encounters Exusiai, who light-heartedly shares her own troubles with the law and her mission to fix Texas's motorcycle. This chance meeting adds a humorous twist to Orson's otherwise stressful day.
