Summary

In "Smuggling into Hong Kong," Wu Daoming and his group, fleeing danger, travel south under the cover of night. They trade their horses for a bus ride to Dapeng Bay, where they hide in a fisherman's house before embarking on a secret smuggling mission to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, they stay at Wu's villa, where they enjoy a lavish dinner and explore the unfamiliarity of their new surroundings. The next day, police sirens disrupt their peace, but Wu reassures the group of their safety. He and the Abbess venture into the notorious Kowloon Walled City, filled with fortune-tellers and danger. A fortune-teller warns Wu of a perilous marriage ahead, leaving him contemplative.
