Chapter 124: Under the Bridge. [261]
Summary
The group discovered the old site of Huang He Lou, an octagonal structure near the Yangtze River. Despite searching during the day, they found no trace of Ba, the drought-related entity. Qin Bu Kong insisted on staying overnight at the location, believing Ba avoids daylight and water. Despite Song Zi and the narrator's reservations, Qin Bu Kong was determined to confront Ba, possibly motivated by past guilt and a desire for personal redemption. The narrator, recognizing Qin Bu Kong's loneliness and determination, agreed to support him by buying food and preparing for the night-long vigil.Full content
