Chapter 1232: Tang Palace Coup (Part 4). [1236]
Summary
Li Yuanji and Li Shen Fu had a prior agreement where Li Shen Fu would withdraw the Imperial Guards and hand over key locations to Li Yuanji's forces. Despite Li Yuan's appointment of Li Dao Zong as Grand General, Li Shen Fu blocked his entry into the military camp, feeling displeased but not wanting to openly oppose Li Yuanji. After Li Yuanji kidnapped Li Shen Fu's son and concubine, Li Shen Fu reluctantly aligned with him to protect his family. During a tense meeting, Luo Yu Min offered rewards for Li Shen Fu's support, which included rare treasures and a woman. Li Shen Fu made two demands: the return of his son and concubine by morning, and twenty treasures from the Imperial Treasury, along with the woman Yin De Fei. Li Yuanji, initially hesitant about giving up Yin De Fei, ultimately agreed to the terms to secure Li Shen Fu's support. As Li Yuanji prepared to mobilize his troops, he faced the urgent arrival of General He Miao, signaling potential complications in their plan.Full content
