Summary

Li Jian Cheng, the crown prince, travels to Chang'an, aware that he will be stripped of his title and imprisoned. He believes his father, the Emperor, will not spare him due to the assassination case. Wei Zheng suggests that the case is a frame-up and that they should reveal the truth to the Emperor, but Li Jian Cheng is skeptical. Chen Zhong Fang arrives with a letter from Chen Shu Da, advising Li Jian Cheng to gather troops in Hanzhong and establish himself. Li Jian Cheng decides to go to Chang'an, despite knowing it may mean his downfall. Wei Zheng is told to leave and escape to Zhongdu, while Wang Bo Dang refuses to abandon Li Jian Cheng. General Shi Wan Bao arrives with an army and demands Li Jian Cheng's surrender. Wang Bo Dang is captured and commits suicide, and Li Jian Cheng is forced into a prison carriage, surrounded by Shi Wan Bao's cavalry, and taken to Chang'an.
