The Legend of Situ Shankong.
Chapter 116: Truth and Falsehood. [253]
Summary
In this intense narrative, the protagonist encounters a mysterious shapeshifting entity called "Xiao" that can impersonate people. After confronting a doppelgänger of himself and eliminating it, he becomes increasingly suspicious of his companions, Song Zi and Qin Bu Kong. Using Soldier Horse Incense to track their missing companion Gan Mu, he discovers something is fundamentally wrong. Small inconsistencies in Qin Bu Kong's behavior—such as not picking up the Vajra and unusual mannerisms—lead the protagonist to suspect that the person beside him might not be the real Qin Bu Kong. Tension builds as he strategically tests his companion, ultimately preparing to strike when Qin Bu Kong reaches into his clothing.Full content
