Summary

The commander of the Xiahou clan devised a strategy to lure the enemy into a canyon and set their forces ablaze. He ordered the Elder of the Ji clan to feign a call for reinforcements and retreat into the canyon, drawing the enemy in. The Xiahou clan coordinated with the imperial court's garrisons to prepare an ambush, constructing barricades and positioning archers and spearmen strategically. Meanwhile, the Qiang tribe, eager to plunder Nakahara, advanced without resistance until they encountered Ji clan reinforcements. The Elder of the Qiang tribe commanded a full attack but soon found his forces trapped in the narrow canyon. As they faced a barrage of projectiles and fire, he realized it was a trap and ordered a retreat. However, the Xiahou clan's forces pursued them relentlessly, leading to the annihilation of over twenty thousand Qiang troops, instilling fear in the remaining forces.
