Summary

Wang Xuan Ying, feeling despair, learns from Fang Xuan Ling that his father and clan may face a peaceful life if they surrender to Prince Qi. Wang Xuan Ying decides to persuade his father to surrender but is told it's unnecessary as the Sui army will attack soon. Meanwhile, Zhang Xuan arrives at the Sui army camp, preparing for the assault on Luo Yang. The atmosphere in the city is tense, with strict curfews enforced. Wang Shi Yun visits Yun Ding Xing for a drink, where they discuss political survival strategies. Yun Ding Xing secretly drugs Wang Shi Yun's wine, causing him to collapse, and has his guards take him away.
