Summary

Xu Xiao Xian joyfully reunites with her grandfather, the elder in the black robe, who expresses his deep affection and concern for her safety. He scolds her for coming to a dangerous place and insists on taking her to cultivate. Meanwhile, Chu Yu observes the powerful old monk, who seems to overshadow even the elder. As the elder warns Chu Yu to stay away from an upcoming battle, he drags Xu Xiao Xian away, leaving Chu Yu with Xuan Han. The old monk then puts Xuan Han to sleep while Chu Yu experiences vivid visions of a past life filled with epic battles and a striking resemblance to himself. He witnesses the toll of war and the sacrifices made by two women, Lin Shi and Xu Xiao Xian, who devoted their lives to him.
