Summary

The next day, Yi Fan encounters trouble leaving the city due to an exit fee. A middle-aged man, Wang Hu, helps him out and invites him to join his merchant convoy to Yongchang County for safety. Yi Fan, lacking skills, claims he can fight and offers to be a guard. Wang Hu laughs at first but is shocked when Yi Fan crushes a stone into powder with ease. Impressed, Wang Hu invites Yi Fan to join the convoy. Inside the convoy, Wang Hu expresses his worries about traveling and suggests that Yi Fan's strength would be beneficial against potential bandits. Yi Fan notices a figure in white outside the carriage, suspecting it might be Lu Miao Ling.
