Summary

Summary of Yun Cui Xian: A poor vendor named Liang You Cai meets a young woman named Cui Xian during a mountain festival. Her mother arranges their marriage, and Cui Xian reluctantly moves in with him. Liang becomes lazy, gambling and stealing her possessions. Cui Xian, frustrated with their poverty, suggests selling herself to a wealthy family. Liang attempts to sell her, but she exposes his plan to her mother, humiliating him. The story concludes with Liang nearly dying after being abandoned and rescued by a woodcutter, returning to find his home completely empty.
