Summary

In Jiangning, Tian Zi Cheng drowned after his boat capsized, leading to his wife Madam Du's suicide. Ziliang Si, a scholar raised by his step-grandmother, eventually became a county magistrate but resigned. While wandering, he encountered a group of men drinking and reciting poetry. He learned of a connection to his deceased father through one of the men, Lu Shi. After discovering a grave with reeds, Ziliang Si realized he had encountered his father's spirit and abandoned his official duties to return home, confirming family connections and reflecting on the past.
