Summary

Xu Liao put away the kitchen knife and picked up a spear, returning to his team after slaying a demonized zombie. The team patrolled for four hours, rescuing several people, including an elderly man who slowed their progress. As dusk approached, Xu Liao sensed danger and warned the team to run, but the sergeant dismissed him. When a powerful monster appeared, chaos ensued, leading to the deaths of civilians. Xu Liao initially ran but decided to return to help when he sensed the Golden Lion Kane's presence. Despite the monster's ethereal form, Xu Liao charged in, believing he could create an opportunity for Kane to strike.
