New Interpretation of Strange Tales.
Volume 2: Strange Tales - The Righteous Mouse. [50]
Summary
Yang Tian Yi shared a poignant tale about two mice and a snake. On a sunny day, two mice cautiously emerged from their hole, only to face a sudden attack from a snake that swallowed one of them whole. The surviving mouse, filled with rage yet aware of its limitations, bravely attacked the snake's tail as it tried to retreat, causing a repeated back-and-forth struggle. Ultimately, the snake, exhausted, regurgitated the deceased mouse. The remaining mouse mourned its friend with heartfelt squeaks and carried the body away, embodying loyalty and determination. Inspired by this touching story, Zhang Li You wrote "The Loyal Mouse" to honor the mouse's noble act.Full content
