Summary

Wang Zifu, a young scholar from Luodian, becomes deeply infatuated with a beautiful woman he briefly encounters during the Lantern Festival. Falling into a lovesick state, he loses his appetite and health. His uncle's son, Wu Sheng, promises to help find the woman but ultimately deceives Wang Zifu by fabricating stories about her identity. Driven by obsession, Wang Zifu eventually travels alone to the southwestern mountains, searching for the mysterious woman who captured his heart with a single glance and a dropped plum blossom.
