Summary

In Jiangnan, a man named Mei Ou Chang narrates a strange case involving his friend, Sun Weng. A groom's wedding night takes an eerie turn when the bride mysteriously leaves the bridal chamber. Following her leads him to a strange village where her family welcomes them. Time passes, and the groom grows anxious as he remains there, while the bride’s family considers remarrying her. Sun Gong intervenes, mandating a three-year waiting period. Ultimately, the groom escapes a vanishing household and returns home to share his tale, prompting Sun Gong to reunite him with his bride, culminating in their official marriage.
