Summary

Sun Tai Bai recounts a tale of his great-grandfather, Sun Gong, who was drawn back to the Nanshan Liugou Temple despite family obligations. After cleaning his dusty old home, he struggles to sleep, haunted by a chilling wind and eerie silence. Suddenly, a shadowy apparition enters, instilling fear in Sun Gong. He bravely draws a dagger to defend himself, but the entity attacks, leading to chaos. His cries summon others, but they find the door unyielding, and discover deep claw marks on it. Confused by the encounter, Sun Gong leaves the temple, questioning reality as monks deny any unusual events.
