Summary

In the eastern district, Dongyue Temple stands with grand divine statues known as the "Eagle Tiger Gods." Priest Ren, a dedicated Taoist, performs daily rituals at dawn. One day, a thief sneaks into the temple, searching for valuables but finds only a meager pile of copper coins. He escapes but is confronted by a giant descending from Thousand Buddha Mountain, who drags him back after learning of the theft. The terrified thief recounts his actions to Priest Ren, who, after collecting the coins, decides to let the thief leave, viewing him as momentarily foolish rather than irredeemable.
