Summary
Wang Sheng encounters a beautiful woman struggling on the road, who reveals she fled from her abusive life as a concubine. He offers her refuge in his study, despite his wife’s suspicions. After a Taoist priest warns him of an evil spirit, Wang Sheng hangs a protective whisk on his door. However, the spirit, disguised as the woman, tears through the whisk, brutally attacking him. In the aftermath, his wife, Chen Family, seeks the Taoist for help, who suspects the spirit is now in their home.
