Summary

Qin Yun meets his master, the Celestial Master of Lingbao, who advises him to avoid the chaotic time-space rift unless absolutely necessary, as it's unpredictable and dangerous. He gives Qin Yun a book about the rift to help him decide. Qin Yun then returns home to his wife, Yi Xiao, and tells her about his upcoming journey with the ancient god Ru Shou to the chaotic time-space rift in search of a treasure of merit. This journey will sever his incarnations from the Three Realms. Though concerned, Yi Xiao supports him, and Qin Yun leaves quietly to begin his venture. As Qin Yun crosses the boundary of the Three Realms into chaos, he observes the Three Realms’ weakening absorption of chaotic energy. He reflects on the nature of the Three Realms and their creation by Pan Gu. Arriving at Ru Shou’s cave, Qin Yun finds that he's the last to join the group, with Ju Mang already there. The group is preparing for a perilous expedition into the rift.
