Summary

Zhang Zhao awakens at 11 PM on September 8, 2017, contemplating his life and the recent unsettling events in Star City. With his parents on a break from their late-night snack shop, he seizes the opportunity to leave home and pursue his own path. After writing a letter to his parents, he jumps from his ninth-floor window, feeling exhilarated. However, he encounters his high school classmates, led by Yu Kai, who invite him to join their gaming night. Despite the camaraderie, Zhang Zhao reflects on his role as the class clown and the pain of being mocked, especially regarding his mother’s struggles. He realizes it’s time to assert himself and break free from the label of "fool."
