Flying Sword Inquiries the Dao

Part 19. Chapter 24: The Source of Meritorious Deeds (Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year!). [661]

Summary

The Demon Ancestor reflects on his past, recalling his defiance of the Three Realms and belief in his immortality. However, despite his cunning, he is caught off guard by Qin Yun's powerful Misty Rain Formation. Now trapped, the Demon Ancestor acknowledges that his defeat is inevitable, predicting his death in three months. He also warns Qin Yun about the looming challenges of the loose immortal tribulations, though Qin Yun remains unfazed. As the Demon Ancestor resists, trying to buy time, the Three Realms observe, knowing his end is near. Ultimately, after two months and nineteen days, the Demon Ancestor succumbs. His body and spirit are destroyed, and his treasures are collected by Qin Yun, who is showered with merit and accolades from across the Three Realms. Despite the overwhelming merit, Qin Yun's Misty Rain Sword does not evolve into a treasure of merit. Lingbao Tianzun, Qin Yun’s master, offers to take him to Lady Nuwa, the expert in merit, for guidance on how to further enhance his sword.
