Flying Sword Inquiries the Dao
Part 19. Chapter 22: A Plea for Mercy . [659]
Summary
Qin Yun reflects on his slow progress in refining the Smoke and Rain Formation to kill Elder Tunling, deciding to change his mindset by doing good deeds. He aims to eliminate the Black Wind Demon Sect, the source of chaos in the Kingdom of Wei, instead of focusing solely on the formation. He sends sword light to the Magic City to attack the sect. The Black Wind Sect leader, fearful for 160 years, pleads for mercy, claiming to have reformed. He tries to escape Qin Yun's attack by appealing to his new master, the Golden Light Immortal, but Qin Yun, unmoved, kills him for his past sins. Meanwhile, powerful figures at Thunder Roar Mountain discuss the balance of power in Biyou Palace and the Buddhist sect. The Golden Light Immortal, now part of the Buddhist sect, faces criticism from his former Daoist peers. Qin Yun dismisses their pleas to spare sinful beings, promising to kill those with grave sins while sparing others. He returns to seclusion after reaffirming his commitment to justice.Full content
