Summary

The story is set in an alternate reality resembling the late Tang Dynasty, where the State of Chu, established by military governor Yang Mi, faces turmoil after 12 years of rule. As the aging Tian You Di contemplates succession, he realizes the Crown Prince, influenced by the powerful Empress Xu's family, poses a threat. He seeks to replace the Crown Prince but fears chaos. Meanwhile, Han Qian, son of Han Daoxun, struggles under the influence of his envious uncle. Empress Xu, aware of Tian You Di's plans, recommends Han Qian for studies with the Third Prince, while an organization plots to eliminate Han Qian to secure their interests.
