Summary

In the mountains, General Ming Peng led his troops to confront bandits near an ancient, monk-less monastery, warned by locals of demons within. To prevent an ambush, he ordered his soldiers to proceed cautiously. Inside, a black eagle startled the troops, while the middle hall remained silent. In the Buddha's chamber, they suffered from headaches, and a giant scorpion caused panic. In a fit of rage, Ming Peng ultimately set the temple on fire.
