Summary

Pyongyang, an ancient city, was initially the capital of Wei Man Joseon and Qi Zi Joseon. Wei Man, after fleeing to Qi Zi Joseon, staged a coup and established Wei Man Joseon, which eventually fell to internal strife and the Han army. The city was renamed Pyongyang, and Liu Ming was appointed as its king. Under his rule, the Joseon Kingdom underwent significant Sinicization, leading to the suppression of local nobility and the establishment of Chinese governance. This transformation involved the exploitation of labor from surrounding regions, resulting in many deaths but ultimately contributing to Joseon's prosperity.
