Summary

In the cold North Zhangyuan, Ning Chen carries the little girl Mingyue, instilling hope for a better future. They reach the Xing Chao Pass, guarded by Qing He Hou, where Ning Chen plans to visit the elder lord. After disguising himself, he meets Qing He Hou, who confronts him about abducting the little emperor of Bei Meng. Tensions rise as Ning Chen refuses to comply with the imperial decree, leading to a fierce battle against four generals. Despite suffering injuries, he manages to escape but is pursued. He seeks refuge in an inn, instructing Mingyue to help conceal him as danger approaches.
