Summary

Two days later, Shi Mu recuperates in a cave within the Pan Gui Clan after intense battles. Jin Xiao Chai visits him, urging him to release Xue Er, who has been imprisoned. Shi Mu agrees to see her but remains noncommittal. They travel to a secluded courtyard where Shi Mu uses his skills to bypass a sealing formation. Inside, he finds Ximen Xue, who is restricted but not physically bound. They discuss her situation and the Heavenly Court's intentions, with Shi Mu expressing his reluctance to keep her imprisoned. He ultimately releases her spiritual power, allowing her to leave. Ximen Xue warns him about the Heavenly Court's plans, and they discuss the recent attack on Zhu Que Xing. After confirming she had no knowledge of the attack, Ximen Xue promises to keep an eye out for news. Jin Xiao Chai and Ximen Xue leave together, while Shi Mu reflects on the events before flying eastward.
