Summary

In this humorous narrative, Tang San, trapped in a heavenly prison, cleverly outmaneuvers Manjushri Bodhisattva. When confronted about trapping hundreds of officials, Tang San uses the Deva Path's karmic loophole to avoid blame. He negotiates for an apology, a letter of repentance, and pre-natal spiritual treasures. After obtaining these, he mockingly attempts to sell Manjushri Bodhisattva's blood in the streets, ultimately causing the Bodhisattva such humiliation that he retreats to cultivate in seclusion for 10,000 years.
