Chapter 960: What? The outside is filled with Han troops? [960]
Summary
In the chapter set in Dunhuang, Ta Ke Xi La, a general from Guishuang, is initially unaware of the rapid advances of the Han army. Confident in his elite troops, he underestimates the situation until he learns that his forces are surrounded by the Han. As he realizes the dire circumstances, he sees that the Han army has effectively turned his own siege engines against him, using snow as ammunition. Despite his attempts to reassure his men, panic sets in as they face a relentless assault led by Liu Mang and Ma Chao. Meanwhile, the Jade Gate Pass, also under Kushan control, is misled into sending reinforcements to Dunhuang, which ultimately leads to their downfall. The Han army swiftly takes control of the pass, positioning themselves as a formidable force in the region and threatening the Kushan Empire's hold over the Western Regions.Full content
