Summary

In the Grand Merchant Palace, Jiu You Wang, having survived a disastrous battle, awaits the Shang Huang's summons outside the closed gates. After a night of anxious waiting, he is finally allowed in, where he pleads for redemption after losing most of his troops. The Shang Huang offers him a chance to redeem himself by using the Spring and Autumn Sword to kill someone, warning him of the dire consequences of failure. Meanwhile, a figure in black mist discusses the emperor's strategies and the looming threat of the Confucian Leader. In a separate location, Wen Qin Wang is reminded of a promise regarding a life he must take, showing the intertwining fates of these powerful figures.
