Summary

Zhang Xuan's family has been living in the palace for months, with the Qi Wang Mansion left vacant and poorly guarded. Three members of the Shanyuequan group, including Zhao Huang Quan, infiltrate the mansion to access the palace through a security loophole involving a small river. Meanwhile, Zhang Xuan's wife, Lu Qing, is anxious when she learns her son, Zhang Ting, is missing. After discovering he is playing chess with his friend, Yu Wen Chan Shi, she sends a maid to fetch him. As Zhang Ting and Yu Wen Chan Shi leave the palace, they are ambushed by assassins. Yu Wen Chan Shi is struck down, causing chaos in the palace as guards rush to respond. Lu Qing arrives to find her son safe but is horrified to learn of Yu Wen Chan Shi's fate.
