Summary

Mian He brought Mo Wu Ji to a six-story stone tower where he was to work. Inside, the atmosphere was cold, and people did not greet Mian He. She requested Guang Zhi to provide Mo Wu Ji with land for planting Aoi rice, but Guang Zhi was dismissive, offering only one row of land and demanding twenty pounds of rice annually. Mian He protested, but Guang Zhi insisted he was being generous. Mo Wu Ji was confused about the yield and asked if he could keep any excess rice, to which Guang Zhi agreed. Mian He warned him to consume the rice for his vitality. Mo Wu Ji lacked divine crystals to buy seeds, but Mian He lent him some. Guang Zhi offered sixty seeds for sixty crystals and mocked Mo Wu Ji's questions about higher yields. After leaving Guang Zhi's room, Mian He promised to speak to the Madam about helping him. Alone, Mo Wu Ji assessed his poor land and focused on his cultivation, suspecting elixir poison was hindering his progress. He decided to plant Aoi rice, believing it could help detoxify him.
