Summary

In July 1959, a K12 train from Shenyang to Beijing mysteriously vanished near Shanhaiguan, carrying 612 passengers. After encountering severe floods, the train got stuck on an ancient bridge. Officer Li Zong Ping, facing a potential disaster, took drastic action by forcing the driver to reverse the train just before the bridge collapsed. They eventually saved over 300 villagers caught in the flood. By signaling for help using colorful objects from the train, they were located and rescued after three days. Li Zong Ping's bravery earned him commendation for his life-saving efforts.
