Summary

In a rush, Niu Er finds herself on a large carriage after falling asleep on Wu Mian's back. Awakened by an elderly caretaker offering her rice porridge, she is confused but comforted by familiar faces. As they travel to the capital, Niu Er learns her father has prepared a home there. Along the journey, the group reflects on their past and the wealth of acquaintances. Upon nearing Chang'an City, they are greeted by Grand General Feng Yi, who conveys the Emperor's warm welcome, hinting at a royal interest in their arrival and urging Gui Bu Gui to reclaim his belongings from the palace.
