Summary

Xiao Chen experiences a surreal moment as he reunites with his master, Ling Yin, at Zixiao Peak, feeling as if he has returned to the past. Ling Yin, now warmer but still detached, warns him about the dangers of emotional attachments in cultivation. She imparts the "Seven Tribulations Combined" to him, which could elevate him to immortality but at the cost of all emotions.
