Summary

Li Wei was shocked by Ai Hui's story of being one of only two survivors out of 2,000 laborers. Ai Hui expressed his desire to become a Yuan cultivator, as being a laborer had no future. Li Wei was impressed by Ai Hui's maturity and determination, and treated him as a peer. He gave Ai Hui some of his cultivation notes, which Ai Hui gratefully accepted. After eating a large amount of noodles, Ai Hui returned to the training hall, where Lou Lan was with Master Shao, who had created a new sand core for her. Master Shao told Lou Lan that her sand core was incomplete and that she should follow Ai Hui if he were no longer around. He also revealed that his lifespan was almost at an end and that he needed to complete something he had regretted for his entire life before he died.
