Summary

Zhao Xiao Min and the narrator explore a mysterious green stone coffin, suspecting it contains the remains of a general from the Ming Dynasty. They struggle to open the coffin but discover intricate patterns and inscriptions. Upon opening the coffins of two female corpses, they find them preserved as mummies, adorned with jade. The narrator feels an uncontrollable urge to touch the jade, leading to a moment of possession. The corpses come to life, performing a ritual to open the green coffin, which reveals a larger red coffin. Despite sensing danger, curiosity drives them to investigate further. As they exit, they are confronted by construction workers, leaving them to ponder how to explain their findings without inciting panic.
