Summary

In the bustling Yongji Canal, a fleet of cargo ships belonging to the once-prominent Lu family is transporting fabrics to Hejian Prefecture. The three Lu brothers manage the Daming Prefecture Lu clan, known for their kindness and martial prowess. Young Yan Qing, the adopted son of the youngest brother Lu Junyi, is excitedly accompanying the steward Ni Fu on his first solo journey. Meanwhile, a boy named Li Yan Qing, seeking vengeance, jumps onto one of the Lu family ships. A confrontation ensues between him and the crew, leading to a fierce battle where Li Yan Qing avenges his clan chief by killing Liu Cheng Hong. As he attempts to escape, Yan Qing confronts him, but Li Yan Qing skillfully evades capture and swims to shore. The arrival of Lu Junyi’s nephews complicates matters, prompting Yan Qing to order the fleet to turn back to report the incident.
